My installation nestles in the shelter of a borrowed tomb. Many of the 164,000 burials to 2000 were in the 'common ground' at the cemetery; others were lost in V2 bombings or the clearances of the 1970s.
Like the Zanopulous sisters, the ledgers are the only evidence of their passing. I find it strange that paper's lasted longer than momuments... perhaps the digital trace will last longer that we think too?
